Children's Ministry

Welcome to Mosaic! We are so glad you’re interested in our Children’s Ministries. Mosaic welcomes children as gifts from God and seeks to include them in worship and programming in every way possible.

On Sunday mornings, if you have children birth to 13 years old, you have a few options of activities your children can partake in. Those who work with your children have been trained to maintain a safe and nurturing environment and have all undergone background checks and training. Children are welcome in worship if you prefer.

During our 10:45 worship time, we offer a nursery for infants and toddlers. Kaylee Brewer and Dexter Hudson are our primary nursery care workers. During this time, infants and toddlers play and/or do a small craft or activity suited for their developmental level.

We invite all children to begin worship with the whole church. Before the sermon, children are invited to come to the front for a brief story time with our Children’s Ministry Director, Addison Saviers, or another pastor or volunteer. Children 12 years and younger may go upstairs for a Sunday School time and return to worship before the time of Holy Communion. This Sunday School time includes crafts, games, service projects, stories, activities, and free time. Lessons are centered around both Christian figures/holidays and social justice figures/holidays. In addition to weekly Sunday School, we have special annual activities for children such as Halloween ‘Trunk or Treat’, an Easter Egg Hunt, and various Christmas holiday activities.

Once children return to the sanctuary, they are welcome at the table for Holy Communion. We use grape juice in place of sacramental wine. Gluten-free bread is also available for those who need it.

Please contact our Children’s Ministry Director, Addison Saviers, at addi.lilred@gmail.com for more information, questions, comments, or concerns!
